I am working in an organization that has decided to use SPSS Custom Tables for all our analysis. I have been thrilled but just realized that for studies where we are weighting the data (sometime multiple types of wieghts) SPSS custom tables could be a bit problematic in terms of the statistical testing. Column proportions and mean proportions as I understand it are run based on the weighted n's even in custom tables. Outside of custom tables too I recall in version 14 weighting was an issue especially if you were running statistical testing via SPSS.
Has anyone found a work around or a plugin/fix that I can use that could adjust/accomodate weighting and statistical testing in Custom Tables. We are using version 18 of both SPSS and Custom tables. The 2 workarounds I have read about were using sample balance weights - so adjusting the weights to be closer to the true sample before applying them OR to run the statistical testing unweighted. I would appreciate any advice/solutions.
