R for SPSS's user - How to find equivalents fast?

88videos
Hi,

This topic was probably mentioned many times. I have usually used R, when
specific method/algorithm is not available in SPSS.
But from time to time (more frequently lately) I do not have access to SPSS
and must use R for some analysis and data preparation.
To find equivalent transformations I google it, but sometimes it takes a few
minutes to find what I needed. That why I wonder, maybe someone has already
written guidebook (website, books), which makes easier looking for
equivalents.

What can you advise me?

Thanks in advance.

Re: R for SPSS's user - How to find equivalents fast?

Anthony Babinec
Robert Muenchen has a book and short course on R for SAS and SPSS users.
He also has one for Stata users. He has a website at

http://r4stats.com/

His books are easy to find.

Robert Kabacoff has a good book: "R in Action." It does not say much
specifically
about SPSS but is a good resource nonetheless.

His website has some good examples:

The developers of R package jmv and related software jamovi appear to have
borrowed some of the appearance of SPSS.
