R plug in for V17

Two questions

1.       How does one install the R plugin for V17?

2.       Has anyone use the R spatial modules with V17 or V18? If so have they done PCA using R spatial?

>>> Get the appropriate plugin version from SPSS Developer Central (www.spss.com/devcentral) via the plugins link in the lower left corner.  For V17, you need to install R 2.7 first and then install the plugin.  For V18, you can just install the R Essentials from Developer Central, and it will handle everything.

2.       Has anyone use the R spatial modules with V17 or V18? If so have they done PCA using R spatial?
>>> I don't know, but if you know some R, you can write a small R program to run within SPSS to do that.
