Dear all,
by default, the R-extension for SPSS installs R2.8.1 . However many R-packages are for higher versions. I tried to trick SPSS into using R2.12.1 by changing the spsscfg.ini accordingly. However, this did not work. Is is possible to use a higher R-version. If so, how? I searched the developers website but could find any clues. The particular R version depends on the
Statistics version, but you must use the one that matches. Although
you may get a warning message when you use an R package built for a later
version, almost always the package will work just fine anyway.
With Statistics V19, the R version is 2.10.1 (on most platforms), BTW.
