R won't start from PASW 18.1

I have downloaded Ressentials from DevCentral and installed.
When I run the syntax below [basically getting R help] I get the
following Error message.
Where am I going wrong?

I notice that PASW R version is 2.8.1
I also have R 2.10.0 installed which I use without PASW - could this be
the problem?

Did the installation not work for some reason ?



BEGIN PROGRAM R
help.start()

 >Error # 6893.  Command name: BEGIN PROGRAM
 >There unexpected token on Begin Program.  Command terminator expected.
 >Execution of this command stops.
END PROGRAM.

It seems like you forgot to use a period behind "BEGIN PROGRAM R" .
