RE New Update for 19.0.0.0

Yves_Therriault

Dear SPSS listers,

We have recently upgraded our SPSS licenses from 12.0 to 19.0. I really think that SPSS should offer a more convenient and transparent way to download update patches. Having to log in to the IBM SPSS Web site each time is very annoying. As it's not I who placed the order for my organisation, I can't access the site to download the patch.

I'm aware that one SPSS competitor, Stata, can be updated directly from the internet without having to log in to the Stata web site. If I'm not mistaken, a Stata user just has to type "update all" in the command line if he wants to install the last updates.

Just my 2 cents!

Kind regards,

Yves Therriault, Ph. D.
