Hi. Sorry to bother. I've a problem with the "Runs Test" in SPSS (I'm
using SPSS 13).
I just can't replicate its results. I perform the calculations in Excel
and I get different results. Unfortunately I don't have any other
statistical package to check the results.
Furthermore, I found a typo/mistake in equation 4.8 (page 52) of the
"SPSS Exact Tests 7.0 for Windows" where the test is explained. Where is
(N^2(n-1)) should
certainly be (N^2(N-1)). Am I wrong?
The question is "Should I trust SPSS results"?
Did you find any problems? I (just like anybody, really) need to trust
my results...
