They appear to be one-in-the-same, is this correct? If not, can a reference
(prefer online since access to a walk-in library is limited) be cited. Hi Will,
Search the Spss list for the explanations of Jon Peck regarding the implementation of rim weighting within Spss (without Python module for *rake *). http://www.fcsm.gov/01papers/Greene.pdf Albert, this refference is from one of your posts to the list :) and it was very helpful at the time I read it. I forgot about it today when I told you about the Deming and Stephan article. It mentions about the iterative proportional fitting as a weighting method. http://www.jos.nu/Articles/abstract.asp?article=192081 - Graham Kalton and Ismael Flores-Cervantes (2003).Weighting Methods. Thanks! Actually, I was not aware that IPF is the same as raking (and rim weighting, and multiplicative weighting) Confusing, so many different names for the same technique.
Cheers!!
