I'm responding with a solution to my own posting because several people have
contacted me with the same problem and asked if I have found a solution. I
have contacted SPSS and Parallels tech support (on several occasions over
the past year) and they do not have a solution to the problem (having solved
the problem on my own, I subsequently have informed Parallels of the solution).
Here is the solution that works for me:
1. Go to virtual machine > configure > options > shared folders.
2. Under shared folders and in the "User defined Mac OS X folders" box,
click on "+"
3. Navigating to the location of your (amos) files. For me I had to
create/add my "my documents" folder (this is where I keep my amos files).
I hope this is helpful to those with the similar problem.
