Hi all,
I did not receive any responses to my question below so I'm giving it one more try. Please advise if you know the answer. Thanks, Kim -----Original Message----- From: Kim Jinnett Sent: Wednesday, December 09, 2009 11:23 AM To: [hidden email] Subject: Predicted values under different input scenarios Dear Listers, Is there a procedure or module in SPSS where I can plug-in various scenarios (input values for independent variables) and obtain predicted values? While I can save predicted values under the "referent" or zero condition, I'm wondering if there is an easy portal for specifying different scenarios and printing out predicted values by input values. Or even syntax would be fine. Thanks in advance for your help. Kim,
Typically I put the parameters from an analysis into Excel and compute the predicted values for various scenarios. Yep, that's what I've been doing too. Was hoping SPSS had a module for
it. -----Original Message----- From: [hidden email] [mailto:[hidden email]] Sent: Thursday, December 10, 2009 8:36 AM To: Kim Jinnett; [hidden email] Subject: Re: HELP Predicted values under different input scenarios Kim, Typically I put the parameters from an analysis into Excel and compute the predicted values for various scenarios. See the response to your previous post.
if you make up a file with the IV's ,values that are missing for the DV. you can MATCH FILES to create a new file "/IN = ..." will give you a flag variable so you can select just those cases if you want to do more with them. then reuse the syntax you used to do the original regression. Those cases will be saved with predicted values.
