Attached please find the questions and advise what kind the question
it is, Hypothesis testing for Two Independent Sample or Hypothesis
testing for Two paired Sample Test?
Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

Nondigestable oligosaccharides are known to stimulate calcium
absorption in rates. A double blind, randomized experiment
investigated whether the consumption of oligofructose similarly
stimulate calcium absorption in healthy male adolescents 14 to 16
years old. The participants took a pill for nine days and had their
calcium absorption tested on the last day. The experiment was repeated
three week later. Some participants received the oligofusctose pill in
the first round and then a pill containing sucrose (which serves as a
control). The order was switched for the remaining participants. Here
are the fractional data in percent of intake of 11 participants. Do
the data support the hypothesis that oligofructose facilitates
absorption?

This looks like a homework problem.*  Is it?  

Here are some questions for you to think about when choosing which t-test to use.

1. How many scores per person do you have?
2. How many scores per person should you have when carrying out:
  a) an independent groups t-test?
  b) a paried t-test?


* It's not an SPSS question either, by the way!
