Attached please find the questions and advise what kind the question it is, Hypothesis testing for Two Independent Sample or Hypothesis testing for Two paired Sample Test? Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks Han Chen Nondigestable oligosaccharides are known to stimulate calcium absorption in rates. A double blind, randomized experiment investigated whether the consumption of oligofructose similarly stimulate calcium absorption in healthy male adolescents 14 to 16 years old. The participants took a pill for nine days and had their calcium absorption tested on the last day. The experiment was repeated three week later. Some participants received the oligofusctose pill in the first round and then a pill containing sucrose (which serves as a control). The order was switched for the remaining participants. Here are the fractional data in percent of intake of 11 participants. Do the data support the hypothesis that oligofructose facilitates absorption? This looks like a homework problem.* Is it?
Here are some questions for you to think about when choosing which t-test to use. 1. How many scores per person do you have? 2. How many scores per person should you have when carrying out: a) an independent groups t-test? b) a paried t-test? * It's not an SPSS question either, by the way!
