Re: Script returns an error in version 10

David Jacobowitz
Riki Yamakawa,

Did you ever get an answer to your question?

I am seeing the same error in SPSS 14, but not in SPSS 13, when I run
Fabrizio's SyntaxScript:

Thanks

SPSS 15 Export to PDF problem

King Douglas
Folks,

The nifty Export to PDF function in my copy of SPSS 15 has developed a stubborn streak.  I have 40 tables, each representing an airport served by American Airlines, e.g., ABQ, ATL, BDL, BNA, BOS, etc.

The Export to PDF function creates one document with 40 tables, each with a hyperlink (Bookmark) on the left, so one can easily move between tables.  This doesn't work anymore.  Instead, when I click on BOS, for instance, I get BNA.  If I click on BNA, I get BDL, and so forth...always the preceding table.

I've tried variations on my Table Look and my SPSS page setup and always get the same result.

  Any ideas out there?

Do you have more than one table per page?

Re: SPSS 15 Export to PDF problem

Hi, ViAnn,

The problem occurs when I create one table per page, landscape format.  After posting this, I unintentionally managed to created a PDF document in which the links work, in portrait format, two tables per page, using the same SPSS output document.

  Thanks for responding...any suggestions?

  King

Query : Output Management System in SPSS

Jamie Burnett-3
Hi,

I am currently trying to produce a table of partial correlations using
the OMS in SPSS 15. At present it is outputting the significance and DF
information from the table as well as the partial correlation, is it
possible to suppress this information and just output the correlation
value?

Many Thanks

Jamie Burnett

Re: Query : Output Management System in SPSS

Mike P-5
I can't off the top of my head remember what the table looks like, but
if all the information is contained in one table the simple answer is
no,

However, there are two ways to get around this, you could suppress them
with the aid of an autoscript, for partial correlation, or you could
depending on your needs write some syntax to delete them after they are
produced

Mike

Hi Jamie,

Try adding

  /FORMAT=CONDENSED

to your PARTIAL CORR syntax.

Alex

Re: Query : Output Management System in SPSS

Jason Burke
If your OMS destination is an SPSS file, when reading the dfata file
created by OMS use the /KEEP subcommand to specify only the dimensions
that interest you.

If the destination is HTML or text, a script will not help since the
script impacts only what is displayed in the Viewer. OMS is provided
content directly from the proceedure and is not reliant on the Viewer
at all.

If the destination is XML, then a stylesheet transformation language
(XSLT) should help.

Cheers,

Jason
