IF that’s true then the different behavior in the UI is just moot. I assumed that the OP had seen different results and hence the posting.

Too late to take the statement I made on ARIMA. Both mean the same thing, I think the only thing is one is literally specifying the number of lags and the other implicitly specifies the lags. The first comes in handy when one wants to specify non continuous lags, say (1,3) or (2,3) for example. Any way I should not be writing to the list if I do not use SPSS for modeling.
