Hi Omar
Please, address your question to the whole list. I have strong anti
SPAM filters that flags as suspicious mail almost anything that
doesn't come from the University I work in, this list and a very short
whitelist of friends and relatives.
OF> Are the method described in the following link is a test
OF> for accuracy (validity) or it is a test for reliability
OF> (consistency)?
Definition of validity:
"The extent to which a measuring instrument actually measures the
underlying concept it is supposed to measure".
Since the experimental situation you presented to us was two
consecutive measures of the same subjects, without any reference true
values ("Gold Standard"), I assumed your questions had nothing to do
with validity (that can't be tested with your data) and foccused on
repeatability of the measures (if similar results are obtained every
time)
OF>
http://bmj.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/full/312/7047/1654.
OF> And is there any difference
OF> between the measurement error and the test of accuracy (validity)?
I hope I have answered this question too.
