In another thread, Gene Maguin asked about the relationship between the Nabble archive for SPSSX-L and the mailing list per se. There is some info on that relationship here:

In some cases, they remain in that state for a long time, and sometimes may not ever be approved. I don't know why the "approval" process is sometimes delayed. (I have wondered if in some cases, people are posting via Nabble without having subscribed to the list.)
