Re: Removing "Total" column from tables

Peck, Jon
You only get totals from Ctables if you ask for them.  If you are using the dialog, this is controlled on the Categories and Totals by the checkbox at the bottom (and you can set the label there, too).

In syntax that is TOTAL=YES on the Categories subcommand.

HTH,
Jon Peck

Those procedures do not give you that level of control over the tables, but it's only one row and column.  You could write an autoscript to hide them if really necessary.

With the exception of things like table statistics, CTABLES can produce all
the same numbers as MEANS and CROSSTABS so I am not sure what you mean by
you have different tables.

Re: Removing "Total" column from tables

behnaz shirazi-2
That's right.Just I had doubt because I was getting 3 dataset at the same
time but it is working fine.Just according to my dead line if I can use a
script to remove "total" would be faster for now on because I have so many
tables which I have to change to Ctables.

Do you have any idea which approch would be faster or lower load when I run
the code?

Thank you so much for your help.

Re: Removing "Total" column from tables

ViAnn Beadle
I would think that CTABLES would be faster than an automated script to
suppress total columns and rows.
