YAY!!!, I have finally decided to break the bank and upgrade to ver 21 (Ramen YUMMY).
At first the installer showed up in French. I backed up and resolved the issue by changing my Language/Region settings for non unicode program installs to English (how it got freedom fried in the first place is a mystery). All looks AOK except right click context popups on the toolbars (They are all in French). If someone could be so kind as to 1. Run Regedit 2. Export : [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0\ui\toolbars] 3. Change the .reg file extension to .txt 4. Post resulting file here on Nabble as an attachment. -- Rather than clog up this list with lots of msgs, only one person needs to respond to this. Thanks in advance, David

Can't help you, David...still on version 20 here. We're always one version behind the most recent. That's probably not a bad thing, as all patches etc should have been released by the time we get our hands on it. And fewer of the "improvements" that drive people crazy (e.g., the model viewer) take us by surprise. ;-)

Same here, sorry. And yep, lagging behind one version (but just one!) seems to be a good idea.
David, are you sure you need that registry key? I was tinkering with those keys a while ago and I don''t recall them being that elaborate (I used them to programmatically set the tempdir, among other things). Perhaps you can find useful info in the installation logs? "Same here, sorry. And yep, lagging behind one version (but just one!) seems to be a good idea."
Up until recently I was lagging behind 10 versions -or 9.5 if you want to be a stickler- ;-))) Doing some rather high end MATRIX MACRO programming for a client and wanted to be able to completely test my solution and verify the end user experience so I bought into ver 21 (FWIW). YES!! MACROS!!! I don't want to deal with 100-1000 end users bitching about how their python install/envt is FUBAR and they can't run my program...Client certainly doesn't need the hassle either! ---- Still keeping 11.5 alive since I only acquired Base for 21 and sometimes need more advanced statistical features. Thanks those who responded both here and privately. Issue is sorted. I have no idea how this got jacked up but here is the jist: --- If I pay over 2K for something I need it to be pristine (even if I have to fix it myself). Getting context popups in French rather than English for example is aesthetically unacceptable. -- Consider: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0\ui\toolbars\tbde1] "toolbar_id"="1" "name"="/Editeur de donn/u00e9es" "doc_types"="/D/E_/D/O/C" "visible"="true" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0\ui\toolbars\tbout1] "toolbar_id"="2" "name"="/Norme du /Viewer" "doc_types"="/O/U/T/P/U/T_/D/O/C" "visible"="true" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0\ui\toolbars\tbout2] "toolbar_id"="3" "name"="/L/u00e9gende du /Viewer" "doc_types"="/O/U/T/P/U/T_/D/O/C" "visible"="true" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0\ui\toolbars\tbsyn1] "toolbar_id"="4" "name"="/Editeur de syntaxe" "doc_types"="/S/Y/N/T/A/X_/D/O/C" "visible"="true" [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0\ui\toolbars\tbsyn2] "toolbar_id"="5" "name"="/Outils de syntaxe" "doc_types"="/S/Y/N/T/A/X_/D/O/C" "visible"="true" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ * WHAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN *.
