Hi,
I am a student at DePaul University in Chicago, and i am having some issues with spss i think you might be able to help me with. I got this email because i googled searched I/O error SPSS. I am recieving the error message that says "an attempt to save the data file has failed because the disk is full....". It will not let me save my file to my flash drive, and i cannot save the data to the computer either. I saw that there was correspondence with someone else that was having the same problem. I know i have enough room on my disk. I read somewhere else it could have been a problem with the variable names, so i went through and made sure all the variable names aligned with the rules for the names (no spaces, punctuation, ect.). Please if you can help me let me know. I am all ready to do my analysis for my final project that is due wed, and i cannot start transforming my variables or doing tests if i am just going to loose all the information. Thanks for your help. -Renee Patten, [hidden email]. Windows Live⢠Groups: Create an online spot for your favorite groups to meet. Check it out. |

Hi
Renee,
The
typical issue in a situation like this seems to be a full temporary directory.
You may want to check where SPSS is writing temporary files and delete as much
as you can from that directory, then try again.

Renee:
Get a freeware program called ATF-Cleaner: it cleans in one go every Temp directory. Marta > The typical issue in a situation like this seems to be a full > temporary directory.
