I am considering purchasing a macbook and wanted to find out whether
anyone here has tried installing SPSS 14.00 for windows on such a computer. I think a similar question was asked by someone about running SPSS for Windows on a macbook pro, but I didn't see any replies on the list. Also, has anyone tried the dual book with both the mac operating system and Windows XP? What about Windows Vista? (I realize these last two questions are only tangentially related to SPSS, but their answers will be informative to me in terms of running SPSS.) Thank you, Miriam Gerver |

whoops, that should have read "dual boot" not "dual book"!

A dual boot on a Macbook with Windows XP and SPSS 15 works fine. I guess it
will also work with SPSS 14.0. I use both bootcamp and parallels on my macbook and it works both ways. But
the best way is to use bootcamp, because with parallels it works very slow. With bootcamp it works native. I notice no difference between my normal windows desktop and my macbook (both core2duo) when using SPSS.
