SAS to SPSS

Hi all:

When I open a SAS data file in SPSS the final digit in the participant
ID is left off (this is confirmed by looking at the participant IDs in
SAS). What ends up happening is that there are 2 duplicate cases in
SPSS. Do you know how to correct for this when opening a SAS folder in
SPSS? Thanks!

Is the ID variable numeric or string?  Can you post the syntax you are using to open the SAS file?  If you are opening it manually, go through all the steps, but at the end click on PASTE rather than OPEN.  The syntax will be pasted into a syntax editor.
