SPSS 16 production jobs

Does the xml structure of SPSS 16 production jobs (*.spj) preclude
calling the same spss program twice?

For analysis reasons I call a timestamp routine (timestamp.sps) at
the start and end of a group of included programs, but SPSS 16
production seems to remove the second (ie last) timestamp call from
the production job.

If anyone can throw any light on this I'm happy to be enlightened.
