I have just recently upgraded to SPSS 17 from 16 and when I have tried to
open any of my files the data set is entirely blank. Now from an exhaustive exploration I was able to figure out that if I had multiple files open at one time the data sets would all of a sudden appear. Does anyone know how to resolve this? ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. Carly ... If you click on a .sav file in Explorer, 17.0 might not open
the file. If you start 17.0 and then click on a sav file in an Explorer window, the file will open. Is that what was happening to you? As far as I know this is a problem with XP and is fixed in the 17.0.1 patch
