Dear SPSS friends, I'm having issues with the new SPSS version 23. When running longer portions of "normal" syntax or syntax parts with macros the program frequently (not always) collapses with this message (translated from German to English): ''' IBM SPSS Statistics 23.0 doesn't work any more The program doesn't run properly due to an error. The program will be closed and you'll be notified as soon as a solution is available. ''' Does anyone have similar problems? I wonder if there are any remedies / patches for this already?! Thanks, Mario

No such issues, have been using v23 since released.
Are you able to test the same syntax on a different dataset? I suspect it may be isolated to that particular dataset and/or procedure on that dataset? |

Thanks for your comment, Jignesh! I experienced it with several data sets and for several weeks since we've been using SPSS 23. Now and then I switch to SPSS 22 when the problem bothers too much. Some of my colleagues also complain about SPSS 23 collapsing. We have network licence version of SPSS. I am not aware of any such general problem
in V23, but if you haven't installed the fixpack, that would be a good
place to start. You can find the fixpack information on the SPSS
Predictive Analytics site at https://developer.ibm.com/predictiveanalytics/
