SPSS 24: cant't load some R extensions

Sam Koslowsky
I know this has been discussed before, but can't locate solutions.

Running SPSS 24, and I try to run heterogeneous correlations -HECTOR, and I'm getting the following:
The following R package is required but could not be loaded: polycor

and trying to run Density based clustering (DBSCAN), and am getting the following message
Warnings
The R fpc package is required but could not be loaded.

No problems when I had SPSS 23.

Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you, all

Sam Koslowsky

Please provide a more complete description of your data and
Have you don,e reading in the FM about TIME PROGRAM?
What have you tried so far?
I haven't used COXREG in ages but throwing this out as a possible fish.
Consider:

TIME PROGRAM.
COMPUTE TVcov
=SUM(RANGE(T_,val1,val2)*cov1,RANGE(T_,val2,val3)*cov2,......RANGE(T_,val5,val6)*cov5).
COXREG blah blah blah....
Unless I completely misparsed your intentions.

Re: SPSS 24: cant't load some R extensions

Jon Peck
Samuel,

Regarding, HETCOR, the author of the R polycor package that it uses updated it to a version that will not install or run with the version of R that Statistics currently uses.  I can send you instructions and the older R module if you send me a direct email ([hidden email]).

Regarding STATS DBSCAN, it does require the fpc package, which should have been installed with the extension.  Try running this code from the syntax window to see if you can install that directly.
begin program r.
install.packages("fpc")
end program.

I am assuming that you have already installed the R Essentials.
