Hi
There is a standalone independent program called ITALASSI ("Is There A
Life After a Statistically Significant Interaction?" - no kidding)
that reads SPSS files and plots the interaction between 2 quantitative
predictors in linear regression.
You can find it at:
http://www.simstat.com/viewxyz.htmVL> Does anyone know whether SPSS has 3d graphics capabilities beyond bar
VL> charts and scatterplots? Is there a way, in SPSS, to graph the
VL> interaction effect of two independent quantitative variables on a
VL> quantitative dependent variable?
VL> I would like to show a 3d smooth plane of the relationship between the
VL> variables. Can this be accomplished in SPSS? If not, what would be an
VL> alternative?

"It is unwise to use a statistical procedure whose use one does
not understand. SPSS syntax guide cannot supply this knowledge, and it
is certainly no substitute for the basic understanding of statistics
and statistical thinking that is essential for the wise choice of
methods and the correct interpretation of their results".
