SPSS Community News - New extension command STATS DISAGG

Jon K Peck
A new extension command, STATS DISAGG has been uploaded to the SPSS Community website.  This command disaggregates a time series into one at a higher frequency.  For example, it could create a quarterly version of an annual time series.  It can use higher frequency series that are correlated with the lower frequency series in this process if available.  There are a number of algorithms included and several possible relationships between the input and output series (sum, average, first, and last).

This command requires the R Essentials and at least version 18 of Statistics.  It can be downloaded from within Statistics using the Utilities menu in version 22.  Older versions can download it from the SPSS Community website (www.ibm.com/developerworks/spssdevcentral) in the Extension Commands collection.
