SPSS Directions Athens, Greek 2008

Marco Birschel
Hi there,

did anyone visit SPSS directions in the past years? How was you first
impression and after
all the break sessions the final picked up experiences and ideas?

My concern are the brief sessions in order to learn about new areas of
applications.

Regards,
Marco

Re: SPSS Directions Athens, Greek 2008

Lemon, John S.
I have now attended two Directions ( one European and one USA ) and I have found them both to be well worth while; work commitments prevent me from attending this year in Europe and getting from the north of Scotland to Las Vegas on the most suitable travel days can only be done via London and either Chicago or Los Angeles so USA is out as well, much to my disappointment.

What do you get out of Directions - well as much or as little as you want. If you choose the breakout sessions you go to you can learn a lot about new features, using old features properly or how other people use the software. Hearing what they do always gives a new view on how to do things. There are also the opportunities to talk to the experts from SPSS and to 'network' with other users - all in all I reckon it is well worth while. I hope that next year I can go again.

Best Wishes
