SPSS I/O Modules Now available in the SPSS Community

The I/O modules provide the material for application builders to use to read and write SPSS SAV files without having an SPSS installation.  They are now available through the SPSS Community (www.ibm.com/developerworks/spssdevcentral) for all supported platforms.  They are free and have a license agreement intended to promote broad usage.

Older versions were available with a different license on SPSS Developer Central.

Hi Jon,

So it's possible to use this module (a .dll?) to open a .sav file using Python wihtout an spss installation? That's useful. I only knew some Python code from stackoverflow to read .por files. I cannot yet download the module though (maybe later?):
