SPSS Python Plugins for SPSS 17

Hi,

 

I am using SPSS 17 and I want to use Python but I need Plugin for SPSS and Python. Please let me know the site from where I can download the SPSS Python Plugin for SPSS Version 17 because at IBM site it has starting from version 18 onwards.

It may be that IBM no longer provide support for versions prior to V18 (I'm pretty sure this is the case) and therefore shall have removed those files from their website. You may have to search online if anyone has posted those file in some type of file sharing archive or if any members of the list still have a copy of these. Unfortunately, I don't, sorry. IBM neither will re-distribute these to you, I think I tried getting installation file for AnswerTree or the likes sometime ago but was declined.

Materials produced by SPSS prior to the IBM acquisition had different licensing terms and, of course, did not go through all the reviews and requirements processes that apply to IBM materials.  Unfortunately this means that they cannot be distributed by IBM.  In addition, a lot of the material currently posted relies on features introduced in version 18 and would not work with earlier versions anyway.  The current version in the field is 22.
