A few times a year, I get dissertation student clients who are doing
mixed quantitative and qualitative dissertations, usually surveys or
interviews. I am thinking of offering them services using SPSS Text
Analytics for the qualitative part. But I am reluctant to shell out
thousands of bucks for the program if I can't be sure I can recover the
cost in a reasonable time. So, first question: Is anybody
familiar with the Free Trial version of this? I assume it has a
limited time period of use, but does it also have restrictions on size of
input or other limitations? Second question: Do any of you guys
specialize in this, so that I could subcontract a couple of projects and
see how useful it is for my clients? I guess I might end up being a
competitor of sorts, but this would be strictly a sideline to my main
work.
