good afternoon listers,
I am working with the SPSS version 14, right in the middle of a statistical course, and encounter a reoccuring problem when trying to generate scatterplots: whenever more than one trendline is required in the graph, the graph is generated, but seconds later the programm is stuck, and only reboot help. Later, the output with the graphs, even if saved, cannot be opened. Since the programm was installed on each of our computers seperately, I do not think it is an instalation problem. Any suggestions or explanaitons will be welcome, since my students are getting a bit frustrated here... Thanks Merav |

Hi Folks,
I had the exact same problem, thought it was windows,a virus..and "kylie Lange" from this list suggested it is a bug in version 14, and that there is a patch available to fix it (14.0.2) m not sure how to get the patch, Kylie stated the problems are reported on the technical support site. If you look on the archives, for about a few weeks ago, you will see my post (and SPSS error/crash message, every time I used a chart, with a fit line). Hope this helps, and look foward to any enlightenment, Leah On 03/08/07, Søren Bech <[hidden email]> wrote: > Hi Merav and others > > Just to let you know that I have had exactly the same problem, however I > assumed that it was windows (again), but it seems not ??? > > Any help will also be appriciated here in DK > > Regrads > Soren > > > > Merav Seifan <[hidden email]> > Sent by: "SPSSX(r) Discussion" <[hidden email]> > 02-08-2007 18:31 > Please respond to > Merav Seifan <[hidden email]> > > > To > [hidden email] > cc > > Subject > SPSS crashes when working with scatterplots > > > > > > > good afternoon listers, > I am working with the SPSS version 14, right in the middle of a > statistical course, and encounter a reoccuring problem when trying to > generate scatterplots: whenever more than one trendline is required in > the graph, the graph is generated, but seconds later the programm is > stuck, and only reboot help.
