SamplePower 3 installation issue

Folks,

 

Having an installation issue with SamplePower 3.0, on Win 7 x64, that I can’t resolve via the support web site. (In my defense, if you’ve ever seen that site, you’ll understand immediately why I can’t resolve it that way!) I was hoping that someone here might have an answer.

 

Midway through the installation from CD, I get a message to “Insert the disk” but without any detail as to which disc to insert! My only options are to continue or cancel the installation. I’ve tried to continue without changing CDs; ejecting and reinserting the SamplePower CD; and, ejecting the SamplePower CD and inserting the SPSS 20 CD.  Nothing works. All I can do is cancel the installation, because there’s no specification as to which disc is needed.

 

Has anyone run across this error and determined a fix?

Well, I hit the send button too soon.  For anyone else having this issue, simply copy the entire contents of the CD to your hard drive and run the setup file from the copied file instead of the CD. That methods sometimes works for games, and it appears to have worked in this case as well.
