Saving edited charts as syntax - Query

Mark Webb-3
Hi all
Once a chart is defined it can be saved as syntax but if this defined graph is greated and
double clicked it's possible to use the chart editor to make additional edits.
Is it possible to save these additional edits to the basic chart definition ?
I'm particularly interested in saving editing where the number of categories is collapsed to a certain percentage.

Regards

Re: Saving edited charts as syntax - Query

Beadle, ViAnn
You don't specify how your chart was created. If it was created from the GRAPH command, when you edit it in the chart editor go to the File menu for the editor and save it as a template, choosing all the details that you want to save. Now specify that template in syntax to the GRAPH command or use the SET CTEMPLATE subcommand to specify the template. YMMV, but the template can hold many of the editing actions that you applied within the chart editor.
