Scratch variable from a recode, won't execute frequency

Leslie-26
Thanks in advance for any help.  I'm trying to recode an age into groups
for an ANOVA analysis.
When I recode and then run frequencies, I get an an error message.
The syntax and error are below.

COMMENT recode age into 5 groups for the ANOVA analysis
RECODE
  S2Q1010
  (3=1)  (4=1)  (5=1)  (6=1)  (7=1)  (8=2)  (9=2)  (10=2)  (11=2)  (12=2)
(13=3)  (14=3)  (15=3)  (16=3)  (17=3)  (18=4)
  (19=4)  (20=4)  (21=4)  (22=4)  (23=5)  (24=5)  (25=5)  (26=5)  (27=5)
(28=5)  INTO  AgeG .
EXECUTE .
FREQUENCIES
  VARIABLES=AgeG
  /BARCHART  FREQ
  /ORDER=  ANALYSIS .
EXECUTE .

You are missing a period after your comment so that everything up until the
end of your recode statement is considered part of the comment.
