Dear List Members,
I was wondering if one can apply the same statistical methods for data analysis on secondary data, i.e. data obtained through analysis of raw data.
Just to be clear what I mean lets consider this situation: we ask respondents what brand of certain product category they use most often and, after that, we ask them for several statements to say to which of the brands each of them can be applied.
So, as the basic results we have percentages on brand usage and statement agreement for each brand.
Now, I was wondering if one can apply the same statistic methods, e.g. regression analysis, for further analysis on these data (percentages obtained by primary analysis).
I was once told that it is not sustainable, but I never got a clear explanation why.
Thanks in advance,
Ivana Sinkovic
