Setting Periodicity in Weeks

David
Dear List,

Can anyone help me with this query. I am trying to apply some ARIMA models
to data that are arranged in weeks over approximately four years. The data
is set up in the wwWKyy format and I have around 204 observations. In the
"define dates" function it only offers a selection of possible series types,
of which arranging your data by weeks i.e. wks 1 -204 is not available.

Wk Date xWeek xMonth xYear
1 5 WK 04 5 1 2004
2 6 WK 04 6 2 2004
3 7 WK 04 7 2 2004
4 8 WK 04 8 2 2004
5 9 WK 04 9 2 2004

204 52 WK 07 52 12 2007

Has anyone come across this problem before? Is there syntax that will enable
me to assign periodicity by weeks?

David,

There is a syntax option to manually set the series range using the DATE
OBS.  If your range in weeks is 1 thru 204 then you would have:

DATE OBS 1 204.
