Show empty categories in tables using OMS

Megan Misovic

Hello everyone,

I am using OMS to output into excel the results of a complex health survey (I am using the complex sample add-on and the CSTABULATE command to properly weight the data). I am using excel to organize the results and would like to use macros to speed up the formatting of the OMS output.  My macros are of limited use since some variables do not have responses in every category.

What I would like to do is output, using OMS, frequencies and crosstabs that show all categories of the variables, regardless of whether there were any responses.

I see that there are several postings that reference codes and the custom table add-on that would easily allow this functionality (e.g. http://pages.infinit.net/rlevesqu/SampleSyntax.htm), however because of the complex design of this survey I am not able to use the custom table add-on.  The custom table add-on is not able to take into account the complex sample design.

I have tried to play around with OMS code to no avail. I have tried:

/COLUMNS SELECT=[rall]

/MISSING SCOPE=LISTWISE CLASSMISSING=INCLUDE

Does anyone have any advice?

Thanks and kind regards,

Megan
