I just found a webpage with a bunch of notes and manuscripts written by Robert C Gardner, Professor Emeritus, Psych Dept, University of Western Ontario. (At least some of the notes discuss how to perform analyses using SPSS.) I don't know Gardner, but I see that he has taught the graduate course in research design and statistics in the Psychology Dept since 1961. So I expect he has some useful information to share.
