Sorting SPSSX output in Word

Bob Schacht-3
When I use CATPCA analysis with ver. 16, and copy the Component Loadings
table to Word, I usually want to sort the table on descending values of
Dimension 1. However, when I try to do this, Word responds in a huff that
"Word cannot sort this table because all of its rows are table headings."
However,  I can paste it into Excel and sort it there. How can I avoid the
annoyance of this extra step?

When a table displays strange behaviour like that in Word I ‘convert the table to text’ with tabs as the delimiters and then ‘convert the text the text to table’ and in 95 cases out of 100 it works – don’t ask me why !!

Best Wishes
