Spss 17 - AutoscriptProlog & Samples

Brad Kirby
Are the sample scripts in '../SPSSInc/Statistics17/Samples' all legacy
scripts created in a version prior to 16?

The AutoscriptProlog that appears to be attached to all legacy scripts falls
over at the line:

' Global object representing SPSS application instance
Public objSpssApp As Application16

The message in the Basic script editor says "Expecting a valid data type
(e.g. Integer)"

If these are legacy scripts, Im a little confused about why they're included
as Samples in v17 when they will need tweaking.

Re: Spss 17 - AutoscriptProlog & Samples

SPSS Support
Jon Peck is trying to help Brad sort out the problems he's having off-list, but to the questions asked or implied here, many of the scripts are indeed from prior versions, but the Application16 specification remains correct and should not need to be changed. Both Jon and I are able to run these scripts. They should not require tweaking. If you should find otherwise, please contact SPSS Technical Support.
