Sum Between Variables

Hi there,

I'm looking for a way to sum values between variables.

For example, I have an "ID" column and a "cred" column. What I would like to know is whether it is possible to tell SPSS to look at "ID" and sum the values for "cred" for those duplicate cases.

So I'm looking to sum all of the "cred" values for case 1 and the same for case 2.

If you mean you want the sum of cred for each unique value of ID, look up the AGGREGATE command.

In the GUI, click on Data > Aggregate.
