Survey Analysis Workshop tutorals (syntax-based, for beginners)

John F Hall
I've just spent the last month or so on major revisions of all the training
materials in:

Block 1: From questionnaire to SPSS saved file

http://surveyresearch.weebly.com/block-1-from-questionnaire-to-spss-saved-file.html

. . for Survey Analysis Workshop

I've dumped all the stuff for SPSS 15 (although it was quicker and less
dirigiste than PASW 18) as everything works with all releases back to SPSS
11.  The big niggle with 18 is that it keeps prompting with unwanted menus
which could be confusing for beginners writing their very first lines of
syntax.  It also applies unwarranted formats and measurement levels to
variables (ie 1 or 2 decimal places to variables fed in as integers and
categorical levels to ordinals, unless I change the initial SPSS settings,
which rather defeats the object of writing for beginners!).

Next I have to tackle Block 2:  Analysing one variable

All materials are available for free download.
