Survival Analysis Modeling

cbrawner
Hello. I recently learned of this group. I have appreciated how members are so willing to assist one another. Hopefully I don't show too much ignorance with my question.

I am working on an analysis of clinical exercise testing data (independent variables [IV]) and mortality (dependent variable). I have seen graphs that display an IV on the x-axis versus the hazard ratio (HR; from Cox Regression) on the y-axis. This is used to investigate the pattern of risk across the range of the IV and to identify splines (if present). One example that I have seen is body mass index (BMI) and the HR associated with mortality which showed a U-shaped relationship in which the mortality risk was greater at BMI<25 and BMI>35.

How do you create a graph like this in SPSS (v22)?

Thanks for your time.
