Syntax Editor copy problem

Mario Giesel
Maybe someone has an idea: For years I've been experiencing a mysterious copy paste problem when I work with the SPSS syntax editor: I copy and paste several times from an editor like Notepad++ into the syntax window. But then it doesn't allow more copy&paste and it pastes an old string it still has in memory.

As the syntax editor is not comfortable to work with (I wish it were) this is rather annoying. Is there any workaround?

Thanks a lot,
  Mario

I've repeatedly experienced this in the past also, without ever getting to the bottom of it. I had raised it with TS also but it couldn't be replicated. Workaround was always to crash SPSS/Excel (for me it was copy and past from Excel).

On a positive note, with latests version SPSS it seems to be much more stable (v22). I don't think I have experienced it (or at least as often as I used to) since using V22.

HTH,
