Syntax for running significant test in SPSS

Peter Omondi
Dear Team,

Does anyone have a syntax to run a significant test in SPSS. At the same
time any syntax which can be used to add variables into one data set using
serial as a common ID.

Regards

Peter

Peter,

First, for what statistic do you want a significance test?

Second, the Merge Files command, Data>Merge Files>Add Variables will allow you to add variables based on a common ID.

Third, and most important, can you provide the listserv with an example of what the two datasets look like before the merge, and what they would look like after the merge? It's difficult to help unless we have an idea of what your data look like.
