Just a tip of the hat to SPSS. I was asked to run a table using Tableau, from a database of maybe a million records. The original input format was a *.cub file, which (I think) harkens back to the 80's.
Separately, I had the same data in two flat files. Matching them, I produced the need table in minutes, while Tableau was still crunching away at the import 15 minutes later.
Pretty pictures take time. Give me a table any day.
