The document is already in use by another user or process.

mpirritano

All,

This message keeps popping up. I have 17.0.3, so it I don’t think it’s a patch issue. The strange thing is that I’ve cleaned out my temp folder, restarted my machine, even shut it down, and it’s still there. I come back from the weekend, I open this file and it’s still there.’

The file is over 4GB. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I don’t know if this is effecting anything, like processing speed, or memory usage.

I have gotten the following message a few times when trying to sort this file by just one variable.

Error.  Command name: SORT CASES BY

File write error: file name C:\DOCUME~1\MATTHE~1\LOCALS~1\Temp\spss620\cache.55: No space left on device (DATA1002)

I’ve used explorer to try and locate any other temporary versions of this file that I haven’t gotten rid of, but that didn’t help.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Matt

Probably there is realy not enough space to save some temporary file. Try to clean the disc/partition, get more free space there, or talk to your IT administrator to solve this.
