ODD! I load SPSS 21.0.1 and I have NO toolbars on ANY windows ;-(
I suspect my SPSS registry branch has been FUBARificated? Any resolution aside from reinstall? When I look at View>Toolbars I get empty listboxes where there should be entries with desired toolbars. Maybe someone could export the SPSS branch of their reg and email it to my sorry ass?
Please reply to the list and not to my personal email.

I had the exact same thing happen to me but in my case it occurred when I
uninstalled V22 beta. I uninstalled V21, cleaned the registry, reinstalled the main and still no toolbars then the patch and still none. Further, the reinstall DID NOT install any Essentials End result, running V20 BTY, I submitted a report to SPSS right after the process but nothing yet If the registry branch helps David please forward to me Will Statistical Services ============ mailto: [hidden email] http:\\home.earthlink.net\~info.statman Skype & Google Talk: zstatman ============ On 7/5/2013 11:25:20 PM, David Marso ([hidden email]) wrote: > ODD! Jon Peck emailed me off list with the following:
"If you delete this key and the 21.0 xxx ones like it, Statistics will rebuild the default preferences, including the toolbars HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0 ---------- So far so good! I want to thank the several people who also sent me reg files and other info.

This is a reoccurring problem for me, with no real solution (that I have found) to stop it happening again and again. It might happen again in months to come.
I would strongly suggest after it resets itself to default and after applying all customization again to backup/export the relevant registry key, to be able to load it (one click) if ever it crashes again. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\com\ibm\/S/P/S/S\/Statistics\21.0] |
