Hi,
we are using the following script for exporting Date from SPSS to Triple S: http://www.triple-s.org/software/utilities/ Unfortunately it isn't working with SPSS 26 any more, does anybody know if there is a new version? Thank you! -- Sent from: http://spssx-discussion.1045642.n5.nabble.com/ ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. I downloaded this script, and it did indeed fail. I tracked the failure to line 247, which is objSpssOutputDoc.InsertTitle("Title","Triple-S v" & Triple_SVersion & " Export") This line is unnecessary for the functioning of the script. If you just delete it using any plain text editor, the script runs fine. All that line does is to insert some title text in the Viewer. However, I found that this failure is only intermittent. The original script seems to work more often than not. HTH, Jon On Tue, Sep 17, 2019 at 8:19 AM emma78 <[hidden email]> wrote: Hi, |
Thank you very much.
And there is another issue with 26: when trying to open it via File-Open-Script- It says The specified Editor is not a file or does not exist. Is there a problem with the format of the old script? -- Sent from: http://spssx-discussion.1045642.n5.nabble.com/ ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. That error message isn't very clear, but it is referring to the Basic editor, not the file you want to edit. It means that a component of the editor, probably WinWrapIDE.exe, is missing or corrupted. Check your Statistics installation directory to see if it is present. It should have size 235KB. On Wed, Sep 18, 2019 at 3:38 AM emma78 <[hidden email]> wrote: Thank you very much. |
Thank you!
Yes it is there and also the size is 235 KB, may be you have another hint? OR is there another script available for SPSS 26? -- Sent from: http://spssx-discussion.1045642.n5.nabble.com/ ===================== To manage your subscription to SPSSX-L, send a message to [hidden email] (not to SPSSX-L), with no body text except the command. The error message from attempting to open the script in the Basic editor has nothing to do with the specific script. I have no idea why that is happening. One thing you could try, although it shouldn't matter, would be to start Statistics in Administrator mode and then attempt to open the script. Maybe IBM Support can help with that. However, you can just remove the line in the script I specified in any plain text editor, and it should run. You can run the script with the SCRIPT command without using the Basic editor.
