Associate/Full Professor in Educational Measurement, Evaluation, and/or Assessment

The Neag School of Education at the University of Connecticut invites applications for a position in Educational Measurement, Evaluation, and/or Assessment in the Department of Educational Psychology at the rank of Associate or Full Professor. We seek an individual with an outstanding record of scholarship and grant productivity who can provide national leadership in one of the above areas through engagement in research that results in improvements in educational equity and access in, educational practice, and educational outcomes in America’s schools.

The successful candidate will be expected to obtain external funding to conduct research in educational measurement, evaluation or assessment; shape the development of a Center in Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment that will bring regional and national visibility to the University through the dissemination of research and outreach activities to the education community and policy makers, particularly in areas of educational equity and/or educational effectiveness; and contribute to teaching and service within the MEA program and the Neag School of Education.

Minimum Qualifications: Earned Ph.D. in measurement, evaluation, assessment or a related field;  a publication record in the area of measurement, evaluation, or assessment consistent with tenure and rank at the University of Connecticut and a strong record of obtaining extramural funding at least at the Co-PI level.

Preferred Qualifications: A record of successful grant activity at the PI level; a record of research demonstrating substantial impact in a relevant field of education; a strong record of teaching;   expertise in research that addresses equity and access and/or educational effectiveness, expertise in an area that complements the existing expertise in the Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment program.
This is a nine-month, tenure-track position. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
